Read & write, in figures, numbers up to 100.

Rounding 2-digit numbers to nearest 10.

Understand & use vocabulary of addition, subtraction and multiplication

Add more than 2 numbers by putting the largest number first and/or finding a pair that makes 10

Add 2 then 3 2-digit numbers with apparatus

Use ÿ to stand for an unknown number

Understand division as grouping or sharing

Use ´, ¸, +, - and = to record mental calculation

 

Money

Find totals of amounts of money and give change

Work out how to pay

 

 

Shape & Space

Make & describe shapes using elastic band boards, squared paper & programmable toy

Recognise whole, half & quarter  turns, left, right, clockwise and anti-clockwise

Begin to recognise & find one quarter of shapes & small numbers of objects

Recognise that 4 quarters make one whole

 

Measures

Use & begin to read the vocabulary related to measuring, including time

Read time to ½ hour and ¼ on analogue or 12-hour digital clock

Read a simple scale
